Human Resources Assistant

ABOUT THIS POSITION

 

Collect all necessary data, run reports, make changes, and process payroll for manufacturing facilities. Acts as a liaison and counsel employees on benefit provisions and various Human Resources procedures and policies.

 

Preferred Educational Experience:

High School degree or equivalent preferred.

 

Preferred Work Experience:

One (1) to three (3) years in Human Resources Department.  Knowledge of computers, calculator, fax and copy machines.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

 

  • Collect all necessary data, run reports, make changes including but not limited to title, pay grades, rates, and vacation, and process payroll for manufacturing facilities on a biweekly basis.
  • Responsible for administering, communicating, tracking, and following up on Leave of Absences for all Non Farm & Home Orscheln companies.
  • Health Services including pre-employment drug screen, random non-dot & dot drug screens for Orscheln Products, Orscheln Properties, and ORMANCO.
  • Send, track, & maintain evaluations & wage reviews for all employees of Orscheln Products, Glendinning, & QuEST Rail.
  • Maintain Personnel, Medical, & Training files, I-9 copies, E-Verify program per our company policies and ISO standards.
  • Acts as a liaison and counsel employees on benefit provisions and various Human Resources procedures and policies.
  • Responsible for all labor reporting and attendance tracking for Site 75.
  • Track and maintain attendance and leave of absence information for Moberly manufacturing companies.
  • Answer routine inquires for employment verifications via phone and by mail.
  • Door Badge – ID Badge system, ability to create badges and make changes. Run quarterly audits as needed.

 

NON-ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

 

  • Order, review billing and maintain health services supplies, pre-employment drug screen kits, DOT kits, & paperwork.
  • Coordinate and order Implemented Ideas lunches.
  • Responsible for the Orscheln Bucks Program. This includes creating & printing Bucks, tracking the distribution of Bucks, approving requests for Bucks, etc.
  • Other duties as assigned.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

 

  • Data entry
  • 80% of the time sitting
  • Some bending/stooping
  • Lifting less than 35lbs
  • Climate controlled environment
