ABOUT THIS POSITION

Coordinate design, development, quoting, specifications, drawings, vendor activity, installation, and support of equipment and processes for manufacture of Orscheln products.  Autonomy of activity is a function of experience, demonstrated ability and grade level.

BSME, BSIE or two (2) year technical degree is the preferred educational experience and a minimum of three (3) years work in engineering support field for preferred work experience

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Develop tooling, capital equipment, gauge and fixturing requirements for new products.
• Develop manufacturing routings.
• Execute typical administrative procedures (i.e.:  stock requisitions, RFQ’s, ECR’s, ECN’s).
• Review production capacity
• Define process capability through measurement, verification, process studies, documentation, and statistical methods.
• Support continuous improvement team activities.
• Manage the areas of Orscheln business as assigned.
• Troubleshoot tool, equipment, and process issues
• Develop and implement error proofing
• Assist with operator training as required
• Develop job instruction sheets
• MRB Authority/Disposition

NON-ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Perform other duties as assigned

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Data entry
• 80% of the time sitting
• Some bending/stooping
• Lifting less than 35lbs
• Climate controlled environment
