Human Resources Assistant

ABOUT THIS POSITION

This Position Is Part Time

 

Collect all necessary data, run reports, make changes, and process payroll for QuEST & Glendinning. Maintain Personnel, Medical, & Training files, I-9 copies, & E-Verify program per our company policies and ISO standards. Acts as a liaison and counsel employees on benefit provisions and various Human Resources procedures and policies. Assists the HR Recruiter/Coordinator with new hire orientation.  Performs clerical duties to support the HR department. Assists with employee activities and heat breaks.

 

Preferred Education:

High School degree or equivalent preferred.

 

Preferred Work Experience:

One (1) to three (3) years in Human Resources Department.  Knowledge of computers, calculator, fax and copy machines.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

 

  • Collect all necessary data, run reports, make changes including but not limited to title, pay grades, rates, and vacation, and process payroll for Glendinning and QuEST.  Back up for Site 75 payroll.
  • Send, track, & maintain evaluations & wage reviews for all employees of Glendinning, & QuEST.
  • Maintain Personnel, Medical, & Training files, I-9 copies, E-Verify program per our company policies and ISO standards.
  • Schedule and assist HR Recruiter with interviews.
  • Assist with New Hire Orientation for all manufacturing locations.
  • Acts as a liaison and counsel employees on benefit provisions and various Human Resources procedures and policies.
  • Answer routine inquires for employment verifications via phone and by mail.
  • Responsible for postings within the facilities.

NON-ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

 

  • Coordinate and order Implemented Ideas lunches.
  • Scan and electrically file HR documents; personnel, medical and terminations.
  • Maintain Orscheln t-shirt shop (ordering, inventory, etc.)
  • Responsible for breakroom presentations.
  • Other duties as assigned.

  • Data entry
  • 80% of the time sitting
  • Some bending/stooping
