Inventory Analyst

Performs and supports Cycle Counting activities throughout the plant.  Verifies and reconciles all Cycle Counts on a daily basis.  Compiles list of potential excess/obsolete inventory for review by the Materials Manager.  Supports Receiving personnel ensuring timely and accurate processing of incoming material and resolution of paperwork involving Purchase Orders, Invoices, and other related documents.  Supports and backfills any warehouse operator function in their absence as necessary.


Preferred Educational Experience:

High School degree or equivalent preferred.


Preferred Work Experience:

Minimum of One (1) year work experience in Cycle Counting methods and Inventory Procedures.



  • Maintains accurate files and records of Cycle Count activities
  • Prepares Daily Cycle Count reports and distributes
  • Coordinates and support Daily Cycle Count activities as well as checking of daily edits to ensure those problem parts are included on the count reports
  • Performs special cycle counts as needed
  • Assures Monthly Random Cycle Counts are performed and recorded
  • Investigates and reconciles all inventory counts out of the 3% tolerance allowed
  • Completes necessary tracking and reporting requirements by location
  • Compiles list of potential excess/obsolete inventory to be reviewed by Inventory Reduction Team, then disposes and completes all necessary transactions as required
  • Communicates issues impacting Inventory Accuracy with Warehouse Supervisor and/or Production Supervision and initiates steps to resolve issues
  • Reviews all Material Requisitions and assures material is issued timely
  • Responsible for Daily Scrap Transactions as well as analysis of the cause, then work with appropriate personnel for improvements
  • Follow all 6S & Safety Guidelines.
