Director of Marketing

  • Utilize customer analytics to drive dynamic multi-platform marketing strategies
  • Develop and implement marketing plans and budget for brick and mortar as well as ecommerce sites
  • Manage and protect company brand messaging
  • Develop and manage agency providers, consultants, freelancers and other suppliers, including contract negotiation
  • Develop, manage and provide analytics on all media including print, broadcast, digital, social and instore experience
  • Manage the customer loyalty program including enhancements and other service providers to optimize the program
  • Work with Visual Merchandising team to ensure brand consistency throughout brick & mortar locations
  • Partner with Merchandising Directors, as well as individual Buyers, to meet corporate and category goals
  • Lead the marketing team including hiring, training, scheduling, workloads, deadlines and mentoring
  • Understand and communicate corporate strategies and financial goals to the team
  • Identify actionable trends in the industry and develop initiatives to capitalize on them
  • Oversee customer and market research
  • Other duties as assigned



Position reports to the President/COO.



  • Knowledge of expense management and profit and loss statements
  • Familiarity with the creative side of marketing and design
  • Effective communication skills (ex. pitching new business or writing customer lifetime value reports)
  • Ability to garner consensus from a large team to obtain stakeholder buy-in on new, complex or challenging ideas
  • Consistent and thorough attention to detail, versatility and leadership abilities
  • Must be able to work cooperatively and effectively with different personality types, as well as other departments, vendors and clients. Proven ability to transition seamlessly among projects of varying scale, audience, format and distribution channel.
  • Strong analytical/data mining skills.
  • Prior marketing, ecommerce, branding and management experience required; preferably in a farm store or relatable retail background.
  • Degree, or related experience, in a marketing-related field.
