ABOUT THIS POSITION

This position reports to the President and CEO of Orscheln Farm & Home.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Work in conjunction with Advertising to evaluate the way our products are portrayed to the customer.
  • Develop schedule for plan-o-gram changes, weighing benefit with team availability and skill set to ensure effective improvements are made in the best order.
  • Review sales by classification before determining any major floor moves to properly impact sales.
  • Effectively communicate with store management and corporate contacts.
  • Build strong partnerships and effective relationships throughout the field to align support for visual merchandising and brand initiative.
  • Articulate, advocate, and influence cross-functionally to deliver on goals and objectives.
  • Develop short and long-term visual strategies that support the brand image.
  • Manage budgets to ensure effective use of capital in areas of fixtures, props, and travel.
  • Reinforce how company goals and objectives relate to product and visual merchandising.
  • Provide direction and clarification to the field regarding presentation/product initiatives.
  • Work with marketing to develop strategy to add merchandise categories.
  • Analyze and recommend changes to product adjacency.
  • Work in conjunction with construction on floor plan, parking lot layout, and paint scheme.
  • Oversee F&H new store development from fixture to soft open to ensure projects are timely.

QUALIFICATIONS & DESIRED SKILLS

  • Self-starter, highly motivated to excel under minimal supervision. Must have proven track record of executing multiple tasks in a results driven organization.
  • Experience managing a team to attain successful objectives.
  • Excellent visual merchandising skills.
  • Exceptional leadership and innovation.

  • Ability to balance creativity with business acumen.
  • Strong influencing, problem analysis, and decision making skills.
  • Ability to plan, prioritize, and organize.
  • Moderate travel required.
