ABOUT THIS POSITION

Individual reports to the New Store Development Manager.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Read layouts and drawings.
  • Visual merchandising soft lines areas in new, relocation, and remodel stores including giftware, men’s, ladies, kids, and sporting goods apparel. Duties include unpacking new goods, merchandising goods on the appropriate fixture per the floor plan, pricing, signage and visual displays.
  • Set and train personnel on plan-o-grams.
  • Install décor and signage elements per company instructions and guidelines.
  • Perform basic carpentry skills sufficient to build basic fixtures.
  • Train new store personnel in the area of soft lines.
  • Perform on-site cooperation and communication with Store Manager/District Manager during remodels, relocations, and/or new store locations.
  • Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS & DESIRED SKILLS

  • Position requires 90-95% travel/overnights
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Flexible hours - Typical work schedule is 10 days on/4 days off
  • Practical knowledge and use of hand tools - Will need to operate basic tools to build basic fixtures
  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs on a regular basis and be able to stand/work on your feet for prolonged periods
  • Self-motivated, creative, and energetic
  • Strong verbal/written communication skills and problem solving skills
